Southwest Marine + Powersports Sets Multi-Brand SxS and ATV Demo Days
Southwest Marine + Powersports is turning its Grand Bend dealership into a two-day comparison event for ATV and side-by-side shoppers on October 9 and 10.
The Ontario dealer’s SXS & ATV Demo Days run Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The current demo list includes machines from Yamaha, Honda and CFMOTO, with customers able to request a specific unit through the dealership’s RSVP form.
That makes the event unusually useful for buyers who want to compare categories and brands without visiting several stores.
A large side-by-side demo list
Southwest’s published side-by-side lineup covers recreational, utility and multi-passenger machines.
The list includes a 2026 Yamaha RMAX 1000 four-passenger model and a 2026 Yamaha Wolverine 850 two-passenger unit.
Honda representation includes a 2026 Pioneer 1000 five-passenger, 2026 Pioneer 700 two-passenger, 2025 Pioneer 520 and 2025 Talon two-passenger model.
CFMOTO is represented by 2026 U10 Highland Pro three-passenger and U10 Highland Pro XL six-passenger machines.
That spread matters because these vehicles are not aimed at exactly the same buyer.
A customer looking for trail performance may prioritize different suspension and seating characteristics from a property owner who wants cargo capacity and passenger space.
The ATV list is equally broad
The dealership also lists adult and youth ATVs.
Adult machines include the 2026 Yamaha Grizzly 700, 2026 Yamaha Kodiak 450, 2026 Honda Rubicon Deluxe 520 and 2027 CFMOTO CForce C4 and CForce C5.
Youth options include the Yamaha Grizzly 110 and Raptor 50.
Southwest’s event page also lists STACYC youth electric products.
For a family comparing machines, that mix creates a useful opportunity to discuss rider age, physical size, experience and intended use.
Youth models should never be treated as scaled-down adult vehicles without regard to manufacturer age guidance and supervision requirements.
Demo reservations are model-specific
Southwest asks interested customers to complete an RSVP form with their preferred date, time and requested demo vehicle.
The dealership then follows up to coordinate the visit.
That is better than assuming every machine will be immediately available to every walk-in customer.
Demo fleets have limited units, and some vehicles may need time between rides for inspection, refuelling or cleaning.
A buyer who is specifically comparing two models should submit those requests in advance.
The published phone number is 519-238-2887 for customers who want to call or text the dealership.
Back-to-back riding can expose real differences
Specification sheets are useful, but two machines with similar engine size or seating capacity can feel very different.
Throttle response, steering effort, suspension tuning, seating position, cabin noise and visibility all affect the ownership experience.
A side-by-side may look ideal on paper but feel too large for a customer’s normal trail system.
An ATV may have the right displacement but an ergonomic layout that does not suit the rider.
Back-to-back demos reduce that uncertainty.
They also help buyers distinguish features they genuinely value from equipment that looks impressive in advertising but adds little to their actual use.
Buyers should test for their real job
The best demonstration begins with the customer’s intended use.
A recreational trail rider should pay attention to suspension response, steering and comfort over changing terrain.
A farm or acreage owner may care more about low-speed control, cargo capability, towing, access to service and how easily the machine can be entered and exited during repeated work.
A family buyer may place greater weight on passenger seating, doors, storage and ease of operation.
No short demo can answer long-term reliability questions.
It can still expose whether the basic layout and behaviour of the machine fit the customer.
Pricing still needs a separate conversation
A demo event is not the same thing as a completed purchase quote.
Customers should confirm current selling price, freight, setup, documentation charges, taxes, accessories, warranty terms and finance conditions separately.
That is especially important when the demo fleet includes different model years.
A 2025 demo unit and a 2027 model may have very different incentives or availability even if their basic use case overlaps.
The most useful comparison combines riding impressions with a complete delivered-price comparison.
Canadian dealer inventory matters
This event is directly relevant to Ontario customers because the units are being demonstrated through a Canadian dealership.
That avoids one of the common problems with North American product coverage, where a machine is announced in the United States but Canadian availability remains unclear.
The event page identifies real models Southwest expects customers to ride.
It does not guarantee that every configuration is available for immediate retail delivery.
Customers should still confirm stock status before assuming a demo unit can be purchased that day.
The location is straightforward
Southwest Marine + Powersports is located at 70672 Bluewater Highway North in Grand Bend, Ontario.
Friday’s event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Saturday runs from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The dealer’s event graphic also highlights on-site demo rides, youth models, special offers, accessories and gear.
Specific promotional terms are not fully detailed on the public event page, so customers should ask the dealership to explain any offer that affects their purchase.
Why this event is useful
Multi-brand dealerships have an advantage when they let customers compare competing machines directly.
The buyer does not have to rely on separate sales pitches delivered hours or days apart.
They can move from one unit to another while the riding impressions are still fresh.
That makes the October 9–10 event more than a sales weekend.
It is a structured comparison opportunity across several of the most important ATV and side-by-side categories in the Canadian market.
For a shopper who already knows the job the vehicle needs to do, a reserved demo could shorten the decision process considerably.
